Once Upon a Time at Work
Storytelling in Business to Pitch, Persuade & Influence

Your elevator pitch is how you sell your idea, your product, your business or yourself when you only have a moment to make an impression. And people are hardwired to respond to stories.

Stories engage people the way logic and bullet points alone never could. Whether you are trying to communicate a vision, sell an idea (or yourself), or inspire action, storytelling is a powerful business tool that can mean the difference between mediocre results and phenomenal success.

Where detailed explanations and arguments can be challenging or complex, everyone can relate to stories.

What you'll learn:

1. Why to use stories in your presentations and conversations
2. Choosing stories that speak to your specific audience
3. Incorporating stories into elevator pitches
4. How to turn a good story into a great story
5. What to emphasize when telling a story on stage
6. What makes a story flop
7. Storytelling tips and tricks to help you be more persuasive and to make your recommendations stick
8. Elevator Pitches: Craft compelling short “speeches” to hook an audience of one or two.

Stories bring us together, help us understand each other, paint vivid pictures, and stick in our memories. Learn to use storytelling to help you make a persuasive point, be remembered, motivate people to action, and to inspire them to take up your cause!
